Today Mario Monti illustrated to his government team "the criteria he intends to follow for the identification of deputy ministers and undersecretaries", as well as "the operating methods with which to arrive in the shortest terms to the definition of specific measures in implementation of the program of Government presented to the Parliament”. This is what we read in the Palazzo Chigi press release relating to the last meeting of the CDM, which today in the late morning gave the go-ahead for the second implementing decree for Rome, the deadline for exercising the delegation just today expired.

"The Prime Minister - continues the note - reported his assessments on the activity carried out in the days following the vote of confidence in Parliament, which he considers the decisive place for a strengthened national commitment capable of giving certain answers to the current emergency" .

Furthermore, the Premier illustrated "the contents of the forthcoming international meetings, scheduled for this week, with the European institutions, with Chancellor Merkel and President Sarkozy, as well as the possible lines that could be effectively shared and implemented by the Member States, in order to ensure the stability of the euro area. The President also informed the ministers of further contacts with other national, Community and international institutions".
