Montepaschi launches new services for the agri-food chain

From Siena new interventions in favor of farms, on which the crisis is weighing. The new products, which also cover the renewable energy sector, are “Terramica Agroenergie” and “Terramica Anticipo PAC”. Attention to the specific financial needs of the supply chain, in order to relaunch greater competitiveness in a difficult moment.

Montepaschi launches new services for the agri-food chain

The Montepaschi Group in favor of the agricultural and agro-industrial sector: with the allocation of 500 million euros, the bank confirms its support for this supply chain. The intervention is meant to be a response to the operators' need to counter the persistent economic crisis, which has not spared agriculture. In particular, from Siena they confirm the need to introduce instruments on the market that are in step with the financial demands of professionals.

The ceiling extends the initiatives already undertaken by Mps in 2010 with the launch of the dedicated Terramica package, which is further integrated with two new advanced products: Terramica Agroenergie and Terramica Anticipo PAC. The first is a loan with a duration of between 5 and 15 years which disburses up to 80% of the investment, with a variable rate based on the rating and the guarantees given for the construction of renewable energy plants such as photovoltaic, biomass , biogas, wind. The second, Terramica Anticipo PAC campaign 2013, takes the form of a loan of between 10.000 and 100.000 euros, equal to 90% of the Community CAP contribution, with a maximum duration of 12 months for direct aid measures which end with the campaign 2013.

As regards the cereal, wine and olive growing sector, Banca Monte dei Paschi has introduced a package of products designed to support the company in all the processes of the agri-food business, from the management of running costs to the product sale phase. The Sienese bank's commitment through Terramica also extends to the agritourism sector, in favor of which a detailed plan of interventions is proposed which is able to assist the operator in the various financial needs.
