In fact, on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 September 2014, the appointment with Conversations on Photography will be held, promoted by the Bottari Lattes Foundation as part of the FotograficaMente 14 review.

The protagonists will be Monika Bulaj who will dialogue with Uliano Lucas on the work of a photojournalist and Luciano Romano who, with Daniela Trunfio, will address the relationship between Photography/Art/Theatre.

The protagonist of the first meeting - Saturday 6 September, at 17.00 - will be Monika Bulaj who, in the company of Uliano Lucas, will talk about her life as a reporter in the border areas between Afghanistan, Iran, Sudan, Israel, Libya, Ethiopia, Russia, Azerbaijan , Tajikistan, Turkey, Syria, Egypt, Cuba, Poland, Albania.

It will also be an opportunity to present the most recent book by the Polish photographer, “NUR. The hidden light of Afghanistan” (Electa Mondadori). Her socio-anthropological approach, her deep knowledge and study of the peoples protagonists of her reports, make Monika Bulaj one of the most interesting voices of contemporary reportage.
His images exhibited all over the world will be the backdrop to the conversation with Uliano Lucas in a generational comparison on the way of understanding and practicing photojournalism.

On Sunday 7 September, at 17.00, Luciano Romano, one of the most accredited Italian authors, will address the relationship between Photography/Art/Theatre with Daniela Trunfio, curator of the project. Luciano Romano, in addition to developing his own personal artistic research, has been working for many years at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples in close contact with important contemporary artists who have been called upon to sign impressive directions: from Rauschenberg to Kiefer, Paolini, Paladino, Kentridge. The attendance of the world of contemporary art and teaching at the Academy of the Teatro La Scala, led him to be among the most interesting connoisseurs of that interesting transversality between photography and artistic expression.

The photography conversations, with free admission, will be accompanied by a tasting of the wines of the Conterno-Fantino cellars.

Registrations are still open for the Reading Portfolio on Sunday 14 September. Guest readers: Maria Teresa Cerretelli, Gigliola Foschi, Roberto Mutti and Riccardo Costantini.
