World Cup: Italy, last call

Tonight at San Siro, the Ventura national team plays the match of their life against Sweden: either they win with a two-goal difference or they are out of the 2018 Russia World Cup and it would be a historic setback as it happened in 1958 – The coach is thinking of fresh forces in midfield and in attack: will they be enough?

This evening at San Siro Ventura's Italy clashes against Sweden for the return match of the World Cup playoffs. After the 1-0 defeat suffered away from home, the Azzurri were called upon to undertake a feat to go to Russia: to win with a two-goal difference. Otherwise, it would be a historic setback, as happened in 1958. Coach Giampiero Ventura is thinking of fresh forces: in midfield Florenzi in place of the suspended Verratti and Jorginho in place of De Rossi, in attack Gabbiadini in place of Belotti.
