Mondadori closes the 9 months with a net profit down by 63,5% (to 16,1 million) and a turnover down by 7,5% (1.028,4 million). In the third quarter the publishing group produced a positive net result of 8,4 million, from 21,5 million recorded in the same period of the previous year.
Net of the consolidation of Editions Mondadori Axel Springer in Mondadori France, the reduction in turnover would be 10,3%.
In the books sector, revenues fell by 6,7% to 261,6 million, while in the magazines area the decline was 15%, to 298,6 million (circulation revenues -10,8%, -18,3 % collateral, -20,7% advertising). Mondadori Pubblicità achieved revenues of 129,1 million, down by 21,8%.
Mondadori France closed the first nine months with revenues of 284,5 million, up by 9,6%, which becomes -2,3% on a like-for-like basis.
At the beginning of the afternoon, Mondadori's stock left two and a half points on the field, behind the Piazza Affari.
