The Antitrust has given the go-ahead for the acquisition of Rcs Libri by Mondadori, but only on condition that the Berlusconi family group sells the Bompiani publishing house and the stake in Marsilio to buyers who must be previously approved by the Authority.
In detail, the Antitrust approved a provision that provides for ten "corrective measures" to authorize the operation. Before realizing it, Mondadori will have to appoint a "trustee in charge of control" for both Marsilio and Bompiani.
In the event that the Publishing House is unable to conclude a binding sales agreement in the periods indicated with the omissis of the law in the same provision, "it will proceed to issue an irrevocable and exclusive sales mandate to a trustee in charge of the assignment".
