A new and prestigious fashion brand becomes part of the family headed by the Venetian designer Renzo Rosso. His holding, Only the Brave (OTB) has in fact just announced the entry of a new icon in its portfolio of brands: Jil Sander, the boutique founded in 1968 by the German designer of the same name, now 77 years old. Nicknamed the German Armani for her unmistakably minimalist style, Jil Sanders had already entered the Made in Italy orbit in the past: in 1999 she was taken over by the Prada group, which however in 2008 sold it to the Japanese Onward Holdings.
The German brand, which has always been deliberately inspired by Coco Chanel and which has had stars such as Jude Law, Keira Knightley, Sigourney Weaver, Jerry Bruckheimer, Winona Ryder, Tilda Swinton and Ellen Barkin among its customers/testimonials, is creatively directed by Lucie and Luke Meier since 2017. Otb and Onward Holdings have finalized an agreement for the acquisition by the Italian group of 100% by Jil Sander.

Only the brave is the group they belong to Diesel, Maison Margiela, Marni, Viktor&Rolf, Amiri, Staff International and Brave Kid. In 2020, the consolidated turnover was 1,317 billion euros, with a gross operating margin of 176 million euros, and a positive net financial position of 175 million.
But whoever wrote this article knows that Rosso was born in the Province of Padua. Renzo Rosso Triestino was a musician, not a stylist. ????
