World of energy and agriculture together for sustainable mobility, for the optimization of the biomethane production chain and in particular of liquid biomethane (bio LNG) such as renewable energy sources obtained from biomass of agricultural origin. It is the result of the agreement between Kuwait Petroleum Italia (Q8) and Confagricoltura (signed by the CEO of Q8, Giuseppe Zappalà, and by the vice president of Confagricoltura, Matteo Lasagna as part of Ecomondo, the Rimini fair dedicated to industrial innovation and technology of the circular economy) to enhance the production of renewable energy and implement the circular economy also in the energy field. The collaboration extends to all possible synergies in the field of biofuel production, as well as to the enhancement of by-products from the agricultural supply chain, in order to maximize their use in the different areas of the circular economy.
Another objective pursued by Kuwait Petroleum Italy and Confagricoltura, with the contribution of associated companies, is the construction of new biomethane plants and/or the conversion to biomethane of existing biogas plants, thus giving value to the entire supply chain which, starting from agricultural production, reaches the distribution of the product at roadside outlets.
