MilleMiglia returns to Alitalia: one more year to use points

Around five million travelers will have an extra year, until 31 January 2020, to use the points accumulated with Alitalia's MilleMiglia programme. The decision was announced by the airline after the signing of the agreement with Etihad which brought the loyalty program back to 100% within the perimeter of the Italian company.

The agreement provides that the former industrial partner of Alitalia, through the subsidiary Global Loyalty Company, will transfer 75% of Alitalia Loyalty, the company that manages the MilleMiglia programme, to the company.

“The return of Loyalty to the Alitalia perimeter - said Daniele Discepolo, extraordinary commissioner of Alitalia and president of Alitalia Loyalty - contributes significantly to the better valorisation of all corporate assets. It is in fact an indispensable activity for an airline which must have the satisfaction and satisfaction of its passengers as its primary objective. Also for this reason, the immediate commitment will be to have a program that is ever closer to the needs of our customers".

MilleMiglia is one of the most extensive loyalty programs in Italy and allows you to accumulate miles to use to request award tickets or class upgrades.
