Milan/Il Ponte Casa d'Aste: 95% of sales for the Modern and Contemporary Art auction

95%, confirmed the constant growth trend of the Department of Modern and Contemporary Art.

The large public of collectors and enthusiasts who had already crowded the historic halls of Palazzo Crivelli since the morning, as well as those who followed the auction online or by telephone, demonstrated their appreciation not only for the numerous well-known artists, but other artists of excellent level up to now not adequately valued by the market including the "analytical" painters of the 60s/70s, Valentino Vago and Claudio Olivieri who even increased the auction base fivefold.

Among the "exploits" of the 50st session, the works of Mario De Luigi, protagonist of Spatialism in the 60s and 2.800s, whose work "Untitled" valued at €3.000/26.250 was sold for €XNUMX.
The afternoon round confirmed the enthusiasm and positive trend of the morning, as well as the interest from Italian and international collectors who have shown that they appreciate not only the works of Balla, Guttuso and Morandi, but also the ceramics of Melotti and Fontana, lots all awarded at values ​​far higher than the starting price.

Great success, with applause in the room, for the work by Eduardo Chillida (Tres1-1967) which was sold for €
400.000 (Valuation 80/90.000).
Other lots that achieved important valuations are the work “3D” (CA. 1955) by Remo Bianco which fetched €52.000 and “Diario” (1963) by Arturo Vermi which fetched €13.000. To seal a day that will surely be remembered, "Genesis -Metope of the Nativity" (1973) bronze sculpture by Mario Negri sold for € 50.000.
