Milan, Salone Mobile postponed to 2021

No way. The Salone del Mobile, one of the most important and anticipated events in Milan, will not be held in 2020. The coronavirus emergency continues to be very serious in Lombardy and throughout the country and therefore the conditions that made the organizers think are no longer valid , initially (February 25), to move the event from April to June. As well as Vinitaly (also scheduled for April and initially moved to June), the appointment is therefore postponed directly to 2021, with the dates set for April 13-18.

“Efforts were made to keep the June date until the last minute to allow the event to go smoothly but the scenario that emerges today has undergone a total change and the uncertainties for the medium term do not allow us to confirm that the Exhibition will take place", explains a note.

The 2021 edition, which will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Milan Furniture Fair, will be a special appointment for the whole sector. In fact, for the first time, together with the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition, Workplace3.0, S.Project and SaloneSatellite, all the biennials will also be presented. In addition to Euroluce, already scheduled for 2021, EuroCucina will therefore be present, with its collateral event FTK – Technology for the Kitchen and the International Bathroom Exhibition.

The 2021 event will thus be a single large system event, which in the intentions of the organizers will represent a new opportunity to relaunch for businesses and for the entire supply chain that works in synergy with the Salone and for Milan.
