Ferrari universally represents the myth par excellence in the automotive world, something composite whose perception is articulated, includes different experiences, is linked to the human affairs of those who have contributed to its global success: drivers, engineers, technicians, designers, managers .
But what is the Ferrari "mood", to use an expression that is particularly widespread today? What connects all this? And what underlies each new creation? Technology, sportsmanship, innovation, research, aesthetics, beauty, memory, passion are recurring terms when speaking of Ferrari, they evoke the strength of a brand, solicit to know its evolution, the reasons that guide its developments.
“We are constantly working on elements of great complexity – recalls Flavio Manzoni – but this is precisely the key point of the design of a Ferrari: it arises from the organization of all the components and all the technological aspects that come into play, without ever betray the duty to bring them together in a perfectly harmonious whole. The desire is that the original idea can permeate the project and that that creation is self-explanatory, i.e. that its shape tells the philosophy and the innovation contents of which
it is a carrier".
Inspired in the name by the 250 GT TDF, protagonist between the Fifties and Sixties due to the victories in the Tour de France, the F12tdf is one of the most recent Ferrari models. This lucky abbreviation now distinguishes the new special version of the F12 berlinetta, awarded the ADI Compasso d'Oro in 2014, the most prestigious award given since 1954 to the best productions of Italian design. Welcomed with admiration by the international press, the F12tdf is capable of extremely high performance, resulting from the close collaboration between designers, engineers and aerodynamicists, testimony to a distinctive linguistic code for Ferrari Design, centered on technical-formal innovation and ready to compete in contemporary and in the future.
From 12 to 17 April 2016 a Ferrari F12tdf will be exhibited on the terrace of the Galleria Carla Sozzani in Corso Como 10, accompanied by drawings and graphic elaborations by Ferrari Design. 12-17 April, 10.30 – 21.00.
