Milan capital of football: Inter leaders, Milan resurrected

Enjoy only Milan. First of all for Inter, who keep their lead thanks to the missteps of Naples and Rome, but also for Milan, who, despite being much lower in the standings, celebrate a victory worth gold. Sunday in the championship certifies Inter's primacy, all in a round that saw them clearly disadvantaged compared to the others: the fault of the Azzurri and Giallorossi, unable to go beyond the draw against Fiorentina and Chievo, which thus make the 0 -0 with Juve on Saturday night.

Sarri's team is the one that eats its hands the most, even for a ranking that, in case of victory, would have seen it first alone. Instead, a goalless draw came out of the San Paolo which increases the controversy and criticism of Sarri's game, in an evident involutionary phase compared to the recent past.

"We played a good game against a fit opponent - commented the coach - Compared to the last few games we did much better, we just missed the goal". A big problem, which the Azzurri have been facing for some time, moreover without finding a solution.

Trouble that also happened to Roma, unable to go beyond the 0-0 draw against Maran's Chievo despite the numerous chances created. A draw that goes close to Di Francesco's team, but which turns on an alarm bell in the Romanist environment: this, in fact, is the second consecutive misstep away from the Olimpico, and the classification, albeit with one game less, it suffers.

“I saw the team I had imagined, more than 70% ball possession and many crosses – the coach's analysis – We just missed the goal, we wasted too many chances. In front of goal we need more malice, if we didn't manage to score it's only our fault ".

On the other hand, those who breathe a big sigh of relief are Gattuso's Milan, victorious over Bologna at the end of a very tight match, well beyond expectations. Decisive Bonaventura, author of a brace essential to be right of Donadoni's team, in the match until a few minutes from the end.

The Rossoneri have changed formation (goodbye to Montella's 3-5-2 and make way for a 4-3-3) but the game has essentially remained slow and confused, thus bringing the match into a state of equilibrium for almost all of its unfolding.

Then, after Bonaventura's 1-0 (10') and Verdi's draw (23'), Jack doubled his lead in the final with a nice header (76') to certify Gattuso's first victory, happy with a result that gives him a few days of peace of mind.

“It is a success of mentality and sacrifice – explained the Rossoneri coach. – We still have to improve, especially in the defensive phase and without forgetting that the road is still long. Now we don't have to think about the standings but only about the next match...".

The championship is still long and can reserve endless surprises. In the meantime, however, Spalletti's Inter are smiling and enjoying a first place that was unthinkable on the eve, yet which became a reality on the most difficult weekend.
