Milan, the catchphrase Mister X is back for the attack: Drogba, Borriello or Maxi Lopez? Tevez is the dream

After the summer refrain, which concerned a midfielder (there was talk of Montolivo and Hamsik, Aquilani and Nocerino arrived), Mister X is back in fashion at Milanello, in a winter version. And this time the mysterious man is a striker, to be taken in January pending Cassano's recovery. Drogba-Maxi Lopez-Borriello on pole, but Tevez's dream remains

Milan, the catchphrase Mister X is back for the attack: Drogba, Borriello or Maxi Lopez? Tevez is the dream

MILAN, THE "MISTER X" SNAPSHOT BEGINS AGAIN! A FORWARDER WILL COME, BUT ONLY AT CLEARANCE PRICES. DROGBA, BORRIELLO AND MAXI LOPEZ THE HOT NAMES, BUT THE MUTU IDEA COMES UP.

We thought we had left it behind, however, punctual as taxes, we will find it in January hotter than ever. What are we talking about? From "Mister X" obviously, a catchphrase that won't end until his identity has been revealed. In the summer "the masked man" had the connotations of a midfielder with particular technical characteristics: a left midfielder, one with Pirlo's feet (but younger) and with Boateng's insertions without the ball.

Hamsik, Fabregas, Schweinsteiger, even Kaka (it had nothing to do with it, but it always suits us), many names circulated and then in the end, as often happens, two more arrived. But as well as Aquilani and Nocerino are doing, their faces weren't enough to appease the hunger of the Milan fans, who now, thanks to Cassano's misfortune, are dreaming of a top-level attacking blow. The company will accommodate them, but only under certain conditions.

It was Adriano Galliani himself who revealed them: “If someone arrives it will be on loan, possibly with the right of redemption formula. It would be nice if he could play in the Champions League, even if it's not essential… ”. An identikit which, albeit vague, allows us to skim the extensive list of European forwards: the eligible candidates to replace Cassano are 4, at most 5. It starts from Didier Drogba, elderly center forward (he will turn 34 in March) but absolutely reliable. His contract expires in 2012, which is why Chelsea would sell him at a settlement price (as Bayern did with Van Bommel) but he earns 6 million a season. Milan should pay him half salary (3 million until May), then he would be free to decide whether or not to continue the relationship for next season (obviously at other figures).

To date, the Ivorian could be deployed in the Champions League: Villas Boas never let him play, and if he didn't get "strange" ideas in the next two matches, Didier would be a perfect deal. However, the age is high, and the physical conditions are not optimal. Milan looks around, hunting for a perfect prey.

Marco Borriello he could be the right man: he knows the environment, he doesn't find space in Rome, he could play in the cups. However, the problem could be the price: the Giallorossi value him at least 10 million, would they accept a loan? Probably not, as well as Catania for Maxi Lopez. The Argentine is too much, this is understood, given that Montella prefers Bergessio over him. The Sicilians would sell it, but only to gain something. Milan are thinking about it, even if the striker's performance changes leave us a bit perplexed. They then remain the I dream of Tevez (destined, barring clamorous events, to remain so) and the name of Mutu, a player similar to Cassano, but certainly less captivating than the others.
