Milan-Tonali: here we are. Inter dreams of Kanté. And Messi?

Milan-Tonali, done deal. There is still no official announcement, but the marriage between the Rossoneri and the midfielder from Brescia is really close. Maldini's offer, as already anticipated in recent days, made inroads in Cellino's heart, but above all in Sandro's and not only because of his support. In fact, the boy understood the centrality of his role in Pioli's chessboard, as evidenced by the 38 million in total (10 immediately, 28 in a year for the redemption) put on the table by via Aldo Rossi: a different scenario from the one proposed by Inter, whose interest has evidently waned.

Conte asked for experienced players, able to give that something his team still lacks to try to win immediately and Tonali, for obvious reasons, does not reflect the identikit. Had it not been for Milan's inclusion, the deal probably would have gone through, perhaps at lower figures than the current ones, but after Maldini's straight leg tackle, Marotta chose not to raise. Pioli will thus be able to add a piece of absolute value to his midfield, another nice gift after that of Ibrahimovic, ready to start the preparation together with his companions. During the week, news is also expected on Brahim Diaz (it remains to define the clause of buy back, which Real Madrid wants to insert at all costs) e Bakayoko, the latter very close to returning to the Rossoneri after the experience of two years ago. Finally, the exchange (this time outright) between Rebic e André Silva, with the Portuguese who will be sold to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Milan is therefore a great protagonist, but the others are certainly not watching either. Inter are waiting for Kolarov (dance a million for the agreement with Roma) and winks at Vidal, who reciprocates without disdaining Juve. Yes, because in the interview released yesterday the Chilean first complimented Conte ("as a coach he is a machine, tactically the number one"), then he repeated himself with Pirlo and his old club, to which, evidently, he is remained tied up (“if they called me I would be happy”). However, it must be said that Inter are much more interested, also because Juve have already used up the two slots for non-EU players with Kulusevski and McKennie. Marotta will try to please his coach also on Kanté, the number one dream: however, the costs are very high, which is why the assault will be attempted only after a few weight transfers (one could be Skriniar, very welcome to Mourinho's Tottenham, the other Brozovic).

A separate chapter, for obvious reasons, is that relating to Messi, now at full-fledged war with Barcelona. The Argentine, as anticipated in recent days, he took the hard line, not showing up at the Blaugrana club meeting. A move that has severely embittered relations, also because his plan is anything but conciliatory: to go away for free by forcing a clause in the contract. It will not be easy given that the same was valid only until May 31st, so much so that yesterday La Liga specified in an official statement that "the player will be able to unilaterally terminate only against payment of the release clause”. Which, it should be remembered, is of 700 million, a crazy figure even for someone like him: his lawyers, on the other hand, argue that Covid, in addition to postponing championships and cups, has also moved the contractual terms. In short, it will be a legal battle with no holds barred, with the Manchester City in the front row to enjoy the show and psg e Inter immediately behind.

For the rest, to report the renewal getting closer between Lazio and Immobile (Lotito has put up 4 million per season until 2025), the strong interest of Leeds for De Paul (we are talking about 35 million), the officiality of Miranchuk to Atalanta (“I thank Lokomotiv Moscow for allowing me to make a dream come true”, his first words as a Nerazzurri) and the duel between Benevento and Genoa to grab Bonaventura, left free by Milan and therefore an opportunity on a free transfer.
