Milan, Inter, Juve: all crazy about the over 30s

Milan have just renewed Ibra's contract, Inter are chasing Kolarov and Vidal and Juve are betting on Dzeko – Everyone is talking about rejuvenation but class has no age, as taught by Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi

Milan, Inter, Juve: all crazy about the over 30s

Un wild market. Waiting for the start of the new Serie A (it starts on September 19, calendars scheduled for Wednesday 2) the big locals have plunged headlong into the negotiations, aware that time, never like this year, is very short. So it is useless to waste time: it is better to act as soon as possible, limiting only low-cost hits to the last few days.

The great protagonist of the last few hours has certainly been the Milan, which after finally closing the renewal of Ibrahimovic (one-year contract worth 7 million net) has made another purchase: it is about Brahim Diaz, attacking midfielder/second striker of Real Madrid, arriving with the formula of the loan with the right to buy. The parties, already close for a few days, have reached a definitive agreement and now we just have to wait for the medical visits, scheduled for the beginning of next week.

But the Rossoneri don't want to stop there, on the contrary they have in mind a real coup like Tonali, for which the first derby of the season is taking place with theInter. In fact, the Brescia midfielder had promised himself to the Nerazzurri for some time, so much so that the deal already seemed practically concluded, but in the last few hours Milan, a team he has been rooting for since he was a child, came forward, submitting to Cellino an offer of 38 million in total, albeit between a onerous loan and a right of redemption. “I appreciated Paolo Maldini's seriousness, which confirms Milan's historic one, but I won't add anything else because I don't want to be inappropriate or not very reserved – explained the owner of the swallows -. Marotta has always confirmed to me Inter's strong interest in the player and I have always avoided negotiations with other foreign clubs as well: I'm in no hurry, but Tonali yes, he needs to know his future".

But then why didn't the Nerazzurri, favorites in any case, close? The answer must be sought in last Monday's summit between the top management of the company and Tale, in which the latter, once an agreement was reached to remain, dictated his priorities on the market: among these, in the light of a budget affected by the Covid emergency, there are players already made and finished, ready to win immediately . He likes Tonali a lot too, but he's not at the top of the list: this explains Marotta's wait-and-see strategy, which now, however, in the light of Milan's inclusion, will have to change, in one sense or another.

In the meantime, however, the Nerazzurri CEO is moving on several fronts, starting with Kolarovpractically to be considered already a new purchase. The Serbian has already said yes to the transfer and Roma, in light of the contract expiring in 2021 (but also of a heavy salary and 34 years of age), said they were willing to accept compensation of "only" 2 million : the agreement is imminent, just like the full-back's passage to Conte's court. The other hot name is to Vidal, the Nerazzurri coach has always been keen on, but this time the costs of the operation could be much more favorable, given that the Chilean has been officially kicked out by Barcelona.

On the list of purged there is also Luis Suarez, coincidentally offered to Juve: Paratici has taken note of it, just like with Cavani, but has currently declined. Indeed, the number one goal is Dzeko, considered by Pirlo to be the ideal striker to support Ronaldo. Above all a tactical question, given that the Bosnian plays for the team while the two Uruguayans have different characteristics, but also an economic one, in light of the different costs of the three.

Edin is therefore on pole to dress the black and white 9, but first he will have to find an agreement to free himself from the Roma, with whom he will speak shortly: there is a lot of money at stake, but also his replacement, given that the Giallorossi have bet Owned. The negotiation with De Laurentiis has started (the Azzurri should go under more money), not concluded, which is why it is reasonable to expect developments already during the week.

Then Juve, who in the meantime welcomed the American midfielder McKennie (arrived from Schalke 04 on loan with the right to buy set at 18 million), will first have to sell the various Higuain, Khedira, Douglas Costa, Bernardeschi and Rugani: only then, possibly, will the substitutes be purchased.

Dulcis in fundo the story Messi, to which it is right to dedicate a separate chapter. La Pulce has communicated to Barça the desire to leave, but between saying and doing there is something in the middle… a mountain of millions. For the Catalans, just to be precise, it is 700, which is the amount of the release clause, while for his father Jorge, however, the right to free himself applies to zero, because according to him the agreement, valid until 31 May, was continued due to Covid, which ended the championships and cups in late August. In short, before understanding where Messi will go, there is a whole battle between the parties that promises to be fiery, after which, if it really is goodbye, an auction will start which will involve Manchester City, PSG and Inter. The British, led by his mentor Guardiola, are favourites, but woe to underestimate the firepower of Qatar, or the Parisians. At an economic level, the Nerazzurri certainly start from behind, but they can count on an advantageous tax system (the same one which, it should be remembered, induced his father Jorge to buy a house in Milan and move the domicile of his communications company), as well as than on a superior historic charm. Suning has already made it known that the budget will be far from unlimited, but for Messi she would be ready to overturn any reasoning, even if it is clear that he will decide where to go. And that step, in the light of what has been said above, still needs some time.
