Milan: defense in place, Zapata arrives from Villareal. Eyes of the devil on Kakà and Matri

The Colombian ex Udinese arrives on loan – Tevez, Dzeko and Leandro Damiao will remain only dreams – The argument does not apply to Kakà, who having married a woman with an Italian passport is a full-fledged EU member – The purchase of the Brazilian is however very complicated, as emerged from the New York lunch between Galliani and Florentino Perez.

Milan: defense in place, Zapata arrives from Villareal. Eyes of the devil on Kakà and Matri

The blow you don't expect arrives at 17.25 pm on a hot and muggy Wednesday, especially in Milan. And it is precisely there that the Devil has landed the paw of the defense system, at least in the company and coaching plans. Cristian Zapata is officially a Milan player: the Colombian, ex Udinese, moves from Villarreal to the AC Milan club on loan (onerous) with the right to buy. An important and profitable purchase, above all if one considers that the defender was sold just a year ago for 13 million euros.

Then came the unexpected (and in some ways inexplicable) relegation of Villarreal to the Segunda division, which effectively forced the "Yellow Submarine" to give up some valuable pieces. An operation that changes the strategies of the Rossoneri market, because now the places for non-EU players are finished. So AC Milan fans can rest their hearts (so to speak…): Tevez, Dzeko and Leandro Damiao will remain only dreams. The argument does not apply to Kakà, who, having married a woman with an Italian passport, is a member of the EU in all respects. However, the purchase of the Brazilian is very complicated, as emerged from the New York lunch between Galliani and Florentino Perez.

There are many problems: from the hiring of Kakà (10 million net per season) to the cost of the transfer (Perez paid him 67 million euros in 2009), but the biggest one is represented by Spanish taxation. In fact, the so-called Beckham law (abolished since 2010, but not retroactively) allows Real Madrid to pay less tax on the player's salary, an advantage that concerned all foreigners residing in Spain and which has allowed, among others, to reach Cristiano Ronaldo. But if Florentino loaned Kakà, the privilege would cease; therefore, in the event of Milan's failure to redeem, the Merengue president would suffer a double whammy, because the player, definitely too many, would cost more than today.

Galliani, already aware of the matter, acknowledged and thanked his friend Florentino, aware that the transfer market still has many nights in store. Who knows if one of these may not be able to advise the Madrid president. Unexpected developments also on the Cassano front, which Roma like, as admitted by Giallorossi sports director Walter Sabatini. "It wasn't offered to us directly by Milan, but a draft arrived, a small phone call from an intermediary...". In the capital it is said that Borriello could enter the deal, but the Rossoneri do not seem enthusiastic about reuniting with their former striker. The goal, now more than ever, is Alessandro Matri, but even here we'll have to wait for the last days of the transfer market.
