Milan, Allegri: "I think we will win the Scudetto"

The Rossoneri coach does not lose heart behind the nervousness that has been assailing him in recent days – "I don't think Milan's season has been a failure: we are one point from the top".

Milan, Allegri: "I think we will win the Scudetto"

Milan's run-up starts again this afternoon against Genoa. After closing the midweek round with the painful (but very important) victory in Verona, the Rossoneri are hunting for three equally fundamental points. From here to the end, in fact, Milan will have no other choice than to win all the matches on the schedule, on pain of abandoning the Scudetto dream. He knows it well Massimiliano Allegri, who never how nervousness oozes from every pore at this time. After the provocation launched at the Bentegodi ("There is a media campaign against Milan"), the Rossoneri coach repeated himself at Milanello, in the classic press conference on the eve: "Sorry to say it, but Muntari's goal not validated against Juve it weighs a lot. Now let's not think about it, there are still several games left and us we just have to make the three points”.

In short, Allegri just can't lower his tone and live the season finale with serenity, and to those who point it out to him he replies as follows: “I'm not nervous, I just made some observations on the fact that Milan's season was judged to be a failure but I don't think that's the case until now. We've had many injuries and we have to review something there, but we are one point from the top, having gone out in the quarterfinals of the Champions League with Barcelona and in extra time in the semifinals of the Italian Cup. If Juve are doing great things, Milan are also doing well." The dispassionate defense of his group then led him to a fascinating and risky proclamation: "I think we will win the Scudetto."

We'll see, in the meantime Milan absolutely must beat Genoa, who are experiencing an almost desperate moment in the standings. The situation is very reminiscent of that of seven days ago, when Fiorentina showed up at San Siro in the same conditions. Allegri hopes his parents have learned their lesson: “You have to play well, not like with Fiorentina or Chievo. Genoa have quality players despite their position in the standings, beating them won't be easy and for this we will need maximum attention for all 90 minutes".

After a disconsolate parenthesis on Boateng (“He has an inflammation of the pubis, he can't play until he passes"), Allegri then lingered on his relationship with the Berlusconi family: "I heard the president, he's always very close to the team. Today (yesterday for the reader, ed) I had lunch with Doctor Barbara Berlusconi, testifying that the relationship with the company is excellent. However, first let's see how the championship ends, then the owners will be able to make their assessments ".

Returning to Genoa, the accident emergency remains, but as you can see below, the unavailable list is dwindling. Van Bommel is fine and will start from the first minute, together with Bonera, who missed the match in Verona due to disqualification (Aquilani is also available with him). The attack remains the department with the most abundance, so the only real doubt is who will support Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Robinho starts off as a slight favourite, but the use of one between Maxi Lopez and El Shaarawy shouldn't be ruled out. However, it is still too early to review Cassano from the first minute.
