Milan: goodbye Inzaghi, welcome Mihajlovic

AC Milan sack Pippo Inzaghi and shortly after make Sinisa Mihajlovic official as the new coach of the Rossoneri club – The Serbian signed a two-year contract

Milan: goodbye Inzaghi, welcome Mihajlovic

In an hour AC Milan greets Filippo Inzaghi and opens the doors of his house to Sinisa Mihajlović. The Berlusconi family club this morning put an end to the Inzaghi era by officially launching the arrival of the former Sampdoria coach shortly after.

to Inzaghi is the third exemption in the last 16 months in Milan. In January 2014, the AC Milan club had sent Max Allegri home after a daring Sassuolo-Milan finished 4-3 for the Emilians. In Allegri's place, Berlusconi put Clarence Seedorf on the Rossoneri bench despite the fact that the Dutchman had never had experience as a coach. Seedorf's interregnum lasted until the end of the 2013/2014 season. A few months to destroy the memory of the successes in the Rossoneri shirt. Then comes the arrival of Pippo Inzaghi who, after a brief apprenticeship with the youth team, gains the trust of the management with the minimum objective of returning to Europe. Target decidedly failed by the former AC Milan number 9 who today paid with the exemption for a season characterized by many ups and downs.

A few minutes after the officialdismissal of Inzaghi here comes the news that everyone has been waiting for at least a week: the arrival of Sinisa Mihajlovic on the Milan bench. The Rossoneri club specified that the Serbian has signed a two-year contract and defines Mihajlovic as a "football personality recognized at European level" on its website, perhaps in response to someone who considered the choice to bet on the former Sampdoria coach to be low-profile .

Mihajlovic is called to bring Milan back to the top of the Serie A standings by repeating the good season on the Sampdoria bench. The Serbian coach could bring some of his Sampdoria protégés like Soriano and Ederma to Milanello Ibrahimovic dreams, a former Inter striker who Mihajlovic already led for two years between 2006-2008 when he was Mancini's assistant on the Nerazzurri bench.
