Migrants: partnership between Unhcr and Goldman Sachs Gives

Goldman Sachs Gives, the mutual fund of the US investment bank, and theUNHCR, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees have announced a partnership to offer urgent assistance to refugees, in order to address the humanitarian crisis in Europe.

The agreement between the foundation of the American bank and the UN High Commissioner is aimed not only at helping asylum seekers who arrive in Europe through Italy, Malta and Greece and the Balkans but will also offer help to refugees who are in the countries on the border with Syria, namely in Turkey, Jordan and Lebanon.

Two million pounds will be donated by Goldman Sachs Gives for supplying thousands of families with food, for providing safe housing for vulnerable children and for temporary health facilities.
