The initiative is part of the Microsoft Ambizione Italia #Digital Restart program, to make a contribution to the relaunch of the country through digital.

Microsoft and Jac train cloud experts for companies

Microsoft Italy continues its commitment to digitization and does so through collaboration with JAC – ITS Jobs Academy Foundation. In fact, the two companies have just launched a training course for software developers capable of creating applications structured natively for the cloud. That is, to train a qualified figure such as the "Cloud Software Developer".

The training course, lasting two years, is aimed at high school students, computer enthusiasts and those who are already in the sector but want to update themselves and aspire to develop their skills, and allow them to obtain two certifications from Microsoft: "Azure Developer Associate" in the first year and "Azure Devops Engineer Expert" in the second year.

Thanks to the method "Learning by doing", students will have the opportunity not only to learn from professionals, but also to put into practice what they have learned directly in the classroom and in structured laboratories to facilitate the teaching of the course. Interaction with the world of work will also be constant during the two-year period thanks to two professional internships of 400 hours (800 in total).

"Our aim is to guarantee each student a concrete educational and training experience, which allows him to enter the world of work with dignity, in line with his expectations and desires" he declared Maurice Andrea Orena, general manager of the ITS JobsAcademy Foundation. “An important and ambitious goal, because it requires that while professional knowledge and skills are built, the development and maturation of the person in the so-called "soft skills" is accompanied. So, what better opportunity than the partnership between the Foundation and a leading company in its sector, uniting specializations towards a single common goal, our student, future worker".

“The planning – continues Orena – of a new course with Microsoft Italia stems precisely from a profound sharing of the project and of the values that put the person at the center, as a man and as a professional, to allow him to be the protagonist of his own future. As is customary for all the Foundation's courses, this course too will make use of the high specializations made available by the professionals of Microsoft's partner companies and by soft skills experts which the Foundation will contribute, thus making possible a truly win-win collaboration between the student, the main actor, Microsoft and JAC.”

“Our country is going through a very complex phase where digital will play a decisive role, as an engine of innovation and a lever to help companies and organizations restart. However, new technologies such as the Cloud, AI, Robotics and Big Data and the development of applications on the Cloud require new skills and new professional skills that companies are currently struggling to find. This is the so-called Skills Mismatch, or the lack of professional figures required by the labor market. The training course created in collaboration with JAC is an important element with which we can make a concrete contribution to reducing this gap and supporting the dissemination of digital skills so that Italy can grow again", he commented Claudia Angelelli, manager of the technical area of the partner division of Microsoft Italy.
