Microsoft: Surface Pro arrives in January, the new PC-tablet with Windows 8

Half tablet, half pc. In January, Misoft's new creature lands in the United States: it's called Surface Pro and will be equipped with Windows 8 Pro, the latest operating system produced by the Redmond company. This feature will make it compatible with all Windows programs, unlike the previous version (Surface Rt). Here are the main features of the new tablet-pc: 64 or 128 Gb memory, 4 Gb Ram and Intel Core i5 processor, 10,6-inch diagonal screen with 1920×1080 pixel Full HD resolution, USB 3.0 port and mini display port.

A curious novelty is linked to the nib (the Surface Pen) with which you can take notes on the screen: Surface Pro is equipped with Palm Block technology, which allows it to recognize the hand resting on the tablet while writing. It can therefore be used as a normal notebook, without the risk of confusing the input recognition system. And the price? The 64GB version will cost 899, while the 128GB version will cost 999.

But it's not over. According to the rumors, three other models are also on the way: Surface 2, which could mount a Qualcomm processor and have an 8,6-inch diagonal screen; Surface Pro 2, which should have an 11,6-inch diagonal display and Intel Core i5 processor; and Surface Book, which will likely feature a 14,6-inch diagonal screen.
