Microsoft: $150.000 to Fix Windows Vulnerabilities

The Redmond company opens a competition, open to (almost) everyone, to identify and resolve bugs that make the product vulnerable to cyber attacks.

Microsoft: $150.000 to Fix Windows Vulnerabilities

Microsoft, a privileged target of hacker attacks through its Windows operating system, has decided to involve IT experts to identify and fix the bugs of its products.
Up for grabs was $150.000, the highest compensation ever offered in the high tech industry, for anyone who can identify and fix problems that make the Windows operating system vulnerable.
The competition is open to all computer experts aged 14 and over (minors with parental permission), excluding those from countries sanctioned by the United States, such as Cuba, North Korea and Syria.
The prize is so attractive that it could not be excluded that it could attract highly skilled hackers, usually recruited by intelligence agencies or the military.
