Metroweb, the game reopens: Ravanelli meets Patuano and Bisio

Metroweb is back in the spotlight. A meeting is scheduled for this afternoon between Renato Ravanelli, managing director of F2i, and Marco Patuano, managing director of Telecom Italia. The objective of the infrastructure investment fund, holder of the control package of Metroweb, is not (or not only) to raise cash but to evaluate carefully based on the industrial plan. Which means getting to the bottom of the investments and resources to be allocated to the construction of the fiber optic infrastructure in Italy.

This seems to be the orientation with which F2i is preparing to open the game on Metroweb after the interest shown first by Telecom and then by Vodafone for the purchase of the controlling share package. Next week Ravanelli should also meet the CEO of Vodafone Italia Aldo Bisio. The choice of F2i should therefore come from the evaluation of who gives greater guarantees of development. And it will not necessarily happen with the sale of shares of capital. Ravanelli's intention, finally, would be to decide in a short time.
