Spring into the attic and out of the blue we're swooped back in winter. Indeed, according to Meteo.it forecasts, the low temperatures of these days have rarely been reached during the winter season. In addition to cold we also unstable weather conditions especially in central and southern Italy, with thunderstorms and snowflakes down to low altitudes. What seems certain (because with the weather these days that says it all) is that it will be a cold Easter, especially during the night, then the maximum temperatures will tend to rise a bit.
Bringing Italy back to winter is the polar air from Norway, which entered our country through the Porta della Bora with tense winds from the North-East. The result is thunderstorms, local hailstorms, snow up to hilly altitudes in the South and a drastic drop in temperatures: the highs will drop everywhere even by 5-10 degrees, while the lows could slip dangerously below zero in Val Padana with the risk of late frosts.

Thursday 6. After a Wednesday characterized by cold and rain, the weather will improve everywhere, especially in the North, while late frosts will be more intense in the plains: values below zero in the Po Valley and also in the internal valleys of the central regions, in particular between Tuscany and Umbria. In the South, more unstable temperatures only on the lower Tyrrhenian Sea.
Friday 7. A new cyclone from Northern Europe will reach the northern Italian sector: good news against drought: abundant rains are expected in the plains and snowfalls in the mountains, especially in the North-West, the driest side for months. From the afternoon, this cyclone will slide quickly towards Tuscany, Umbria and Alto Lazio leaving the North-West almost immediately. In the south, however, the weather will be sunny. Temperatures slightly rising but still cold weather for the period.
Saturday 8. Bad weather forecast from Lazio to much of the South, with scattered showers alternating with clear spells.
Currently Easter e Easter Monday they seem "out of danger" although with below average temperatures. It will only be uncertain in the South with scattered showers.
