Weather: bad weather truce on Saturday, new alert for Sunday

Bad weather continues to haunt the All Saints' Day bridge on almost the entire peninsula, even if the situation is starting to improve and on Saturday it could grant a truce.

While the damages of the perturbation are being counted, which with its heavy rains has caused landslides and mudslides, the perturbed front slowly slides towards the Balkans. Already today some timid clearings in the extreme Northwest and mostly good weather in Sicily too. Clouds instead on the rest of Italy with scattered rains, however gradually depleting, on Upper Lombardy, Triveneto, Tyrrhenian regions, inland areas of the Center and Salento. Some snowfall in the Alps but only above 1.500 metres, in the Aosta Valley even at 1.100 metres.

The areas where the strongest events are expected are Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Campania, Basilicata and the Ionian sectors of Sicily, Calabria and Puglia. Alert for the risk of flooding in particular in the lower Lazio and Caserta areas.

After the cold of the last three days, temperatures are gradually rising. But Sunday will be the worst day: a perturbed Atlantic front promises new rainfall in the North and heavy rains especially in the central-eastern areas and on the eastern Ligurian coast.
