Il cold, the great absentee of Christmas and the month of December, is finally arriving. A perturbation has broken through Italy and brought about a decided weather change, with the first real bad weather at the beginning of the year. After three weeks of mild weather with anomalous heat and almost spring-like temperatures, he's finally back there pioggia and also the INFO, although for now only in the mountains. But soon a little colder air will spread which will bring back a pinch of winter.
However, the recovery of Winter will still be waiting, as the mild Atlantic currents will prevail, during the week, with temperatures well above the average, especially in the central south.
But even the rain will be short-lived, with the anticyclone that will already try to reappear as early as Tuesday 10. But it will not be able to completely reconquer our country: there will be two other perturbations that will affect the weather evolution in the second part of the week even if more stable days are expected for the weekend with temperatures above the average again.
The question is always the same: when will the real cold come? It is still not possible to fully understand what will happen given that the international computing centers are unable to find a common trend line. Some people are inclined towards the arrival of a little cold around the 20th of the month. Others instead by the end of the month. We just have to wait a little longer for the atmosphere to find its true dimension as soon as possible.

Tuesday 10: in the North, clear or partly cloudy. Strong Mistral winds will blow in the center. In the South: the Mistral arrives, last showers in Puglia and on the lower Tyrrhenian Sea.
Wednesday 11: in the North, clear or partly cloudy skies. In the middle: prevailing good weather. in the South: alternating between clouds and sunny spells, in a dry context.
Snow returns to the Alps, then to the Apennines
The snow has fallen again Alps, starting from 7-900 metres, but in a few hours some snow episodes are also expected on the Apennines, over 1400-1500 meters. The greatest accumulations occurred in the westernmost sectors of the Aosta Valley, with peaks of up to 40cm at 2000m above sea level in the Mont Blanc area.
