Weather: new scorching heat wave

After a very short break of ten days, during which we enjoyed a more favorable climate and "human" temperatures, our peninsula is preparing to face the umpteenth heat wave, the seventh to be exact. Of course, the peaks reached in the first two weeks of August will not be reached, but the temperatures at the end of the month will still be far from the averages of past years.

Starting from the weekend, the increase in temperatures will affect above all the Centro and islands. The influx of torrid air from Africa could continue even in early September, delaying the arrival of autumn weather.

Going into detail, according to meteorologists in Emilia Romagna the maximum values will touch 38°, 36° in Toscana and Lazio.

Meanwhile, the emergency continues drought, which has been involving most of the Italian regions for three months now. No rains are expected until the beginning of September, with the situation of farmers and farms steadily deteriorating.
