Weather: storms in the North but African heat from Tuesday throughout Italy

After a weekend of respite, also marked by bad weather on Saturday in almost all of the North, with downpours that caused inconvenience in some cities including Milan and Turin, all hell is ready to break loose in the week that is about to begin, with a new wave of African heat which will reach its peak on Thursday, when from North to South, and above all in the big cities of the Centre-North, where the highs will come to touch 40 degrees.

Temperatures are still expected to be within the norm on Sundays (when in Lombardy and Veneto there is still the orange alert from the Civil Protection for the risk of precipitation) and Mondays (when the sun returns but not yet the sultry heat), while from Tuesday the African anticyclone will begin to make itself felt, initially especially in the North and in Tuscany, but gradually throughout the peninsula, including the islands, where the highs for the whole week will be at least 32-33 degrees, with a lot of heat and abnormal temperatures even at night.

During the night between Wednesday and Thursday, for example, in Milan the temperature will not be able to drop below 25 degrees, in Bologna it will even be 26, in Rome 23, in Florence and Naples again 25. Already on Friday 28 June , however, there should be a relative lull, but only in the North, with maximum temperatures still sustained but closer to the seasonal averages (this, climatically, is one of the hottest times of the year). The heat, on the other hand, will still be dramatic in the Centre-South. The exceptional heat wave will affect almost all of Europe.
