Weather: North under snow, sun and wind in the South

Four perturbations are expected on our peninsula by next weekend. What awaits us is a week marked by frequent sudden changes in temperature and numerous precipitations, especially in the Central South.

The first disturbance of the new year is already affecting Lombardy and Tuscany. Snow will arrive in the Alps around a thousand meters. However, there will not be cold temperatures as happened in the first weeks of December.

Good news for ski lovers. Tourist resorts in the Veneto region were hit by heavy snow during the days leading up to New Year's Eve, attracting thousands of tourists. Concern in Tuscany for the risk of storm surges, with the city of Livorno already on alert since yesterday. Storm surges are also worrying in Sardinia: westerly or mistral winds are expected until midnight on the 3rd until storms hit the northern and western coasts of the island. Bad weather is expected on Saturday 6 January especially in the Tyrrhenian regions and in Sardinia.
