Weather: rain and "normal" heat in the next few days

Summer is ending and temperatures are returning to normal - In the North-East heavy rains are forecast for the whole weekend - Then it will be the turn of the South

Weather: rain and "normal" heat in the next few days

Summer is winding down, or it's just back to normal. After several heat waves that characterized a season that was at times hot (but also crossed by many waves of bad weather, especially in the North), the climate in this second part of August seems to stabilize at a finally normal heat. From a thermal point of view, in fact, no other heat wave is in sight: the month of August seems to want to end with temperatures at normal levels in the North, or just above the Centre-South.

In the next few days, including Monday, the maximum temperatures in the North will be around, or even lower than, 30 degrees, and a lot of rain is also forecast, with a new Atlantic perturbation that will bring a further drop in temperatures: rainfall will initially occur above all in the North-East, on Saturdays and Sundays, and will be slightly more widespread in other areas of the peninsula at the beginning of the next week, when the perturbation between Monday and Tuesday will also reach the South.

The temperature drop will therefore also affect the South on Monday, where however a fairly sustained heat is expected over the weekend: the mercury column between Saturday and Sunday will remain, more or less, above 30 degrees during the hottest hours of the day. But let's forget the 40 degrees or so: the maximum peak, before the arrival of the perturbation which will drop the maximum temperatures below 30 even in the south, will be around 33 degrees in cities such as Florence, Rome, Naples, Calabria and Sicily.
