Boot in the grip of the heat: until tomorrow there will still be lots of sun and intense heat throughout Italy due to the presence of the North African anticyclone. Thursday instead the number 1 perturbation of August will bring thunderstorms, sometimes even violent, in the North-West, where temperatures will also drop significantly, while in the Center-South the sun and the intense heat will resist.

Then between Friday and Saturday the relatively cool currents that follow the perturbation will cause temperatures to drop (among other things, wiping out the sultriness) also in the rest of Italy, without however leading to a real failure of the weather.

So Thursday the areas most affected by the storms will be Valle d'Aosta, Piedmont and Lombardy. During the day, however, temperatures will remain very high in the North-East and Centre-South, where the heat will peak. The phenomena could also be violent, especially in upper Piedmont and upper Lombardy. The temperatures will also drop by a few degrees and the air will thus be reshuffled: it will be the end of the Saharan bubble. The instability will also extend to the Center-South between Friday and Saturday. However, temperatures will remain above 30 degrees in many locations. On the major islands, between Friday and Saturday, the drop in temperatures will be favored by the Mistral winds.
