After days of abnormal heat, the ITalia prepares for a sudden turn towards thewinter. Starting from this settimana, a mass of cold polar air will make its way into our country, bringing a sharp drop in temperatures, a worsening of the weather and the first snowfalls. In the meantime, the weekend will remain mild, with temperatures still above average.
Weather, cold weather coming in the next few days: temperatures down
The anticyclone that brought us a mild and warm weekend will last until Monday, but already from Tuesday 12 November Italy will have to deal with thearrival of polar airThe passage of this cold mass will be accompanied by the formation of a cyclone that will bring heavy rains, especially on Piemonte, Lombardia, Trentino Alto Adige e Veneto. Subsequently, the bad weather will extend to the downtown and South, where atmospheric instability phenomena may occur, with showers and even violent thunderstorms, especially on the Sardinia and Sicilia. The mountains will see the arrival of the INFO even at rather low altitudes: already starting from 700 metres in Piedmont and Liguria, and above 1300-1400 metres in the central Apennines.
Weather forecast for the weekend: temperatures still above average
Italians, not all of them, will be able to enjoy a final sunny weekend. Saturday November 9 there will be fog and low clouds over the Po Valley and Emilia-Romagna, with the possibility of some rain in the morning on the coasts of Tuscany and Lazio. In the South, the weather will be mostly sunny, with mild temperatures. The Islands will see cloudy skies and some showers, especially in the afternoon, with more intense phenomena over Sardinia.
Sunday November 10 the weather will improve in many areas, with mostly sunny skies, although fog will persist along the Po in the morning. In the North, the weather will be generally clear or partly cloudy, with maximum temperatures of around 13 degrees in Milan and 21 degrees in Bolzano. In the Center and Sardinia, there will still be precipitation, especially in Sardinia, where rain and thunderstorms will occur. Maximum temperatures will fluctuate between 16 degrees in Perugia and 22 degrees in Cagliari. In the South and Sicily, the weather will be very unstable, with widespread rain and even intense thunderstorms in Sicily. Maximum temperatures will settle at 14 degrees in Potenza, while in Naples and Palermo they will reach 20-21 degrees.
