We will still have to endure another two days of scorching heat. From 31 August onwards the anticyclone Polifemo will leave our coasts and temperatures will drop. In the coming days, however, the heat will be the protagonist. On Tuesday, maximums of 40° in Sardinia and 37° in Lazio.
The weather, therefore, will change, and the first autumn rains will appear. Responsible for this change will be the cyclone Poppea which, starting from Friday 1 September (start date of the meteorological autumn), will bring bad weather to many regions.
The weather will drastically worsen in the northern western sectors with rain, thunderstorms, hailstorms and tornadoes. Showers also in Tuscany, Umbria and Marche. Still good weather in the central south, where the Poppea vortex will bring rain only between 5 and 6 September.
