Weather: New Year's Eve with sunshine and mild temperatures

Good weather expected in almost all of Italy until Thursday 2 January: on the 31st still some clouds in the South, but temperatures have also risen from Wednesday.

This time, nothing to complain about: the weather for the Christmas holidays was more than acceptable in almost the whole country, with lots of sun and for a few days even practically spring-like temperatures. After a small wave of frost, the trend towards good weather is also confirmed for New Year's Eve: both for the eve and for January 1, and even until the 2nd according to the forecasts of the Air Force weather center, the sun will still be the master, with the exception – on December 31st, above all – of some areas of the South and of Sicily. As for the temperatures, they will still be rigid, with night frosts from North to South, on the eve of New Year's Day, only to then return to mitigate in 2020: on Wednesday the maximum values will rise again in many provinces, especially in the South, around 10 degrees, and even in Rome it will be around 7-8 degrees in the afternoon.

It will be even better on Thursday 2 January, when the mercury column is everywhere in the Central South it will return to values more suited to the month of March than to that of January (13 degrees in Naples, 14 in Cagliari, 16 in Trapani). This trend, although not everywhere, will also affect the North: in the cities of Trento and Bolzano the maximum is expected to be 11 degrees, well above the average for the season. On Friday, however, a new perturbation will affect the Tyrrhenian side, especially Liguria and Tuscany, while the sun should shine again over the weekend on almost the entire peninsula, with the exception of some clouds and rain in the Centre-South.
