Weather, record heat on the way: 38°C in the North

Record heat arriving throughout Italy, especially in the North. After the first heat wave of recent weeks, the summer solstice brings with it an anticyclone of African origin, Judas, ready to hit the peninsula at least until Saturday 24 June, to then leave space between the 25th and 26th for a low Atlantic pressure which will bring milder air and some relief to the Italians.

In the next few days, however, Giuda will bring temperatures above 33-34° in many Italian cities, especially in the north, and at the beginning of the weekend it will even give way to the fiery Charon, who will bring temperatures to even higher values, a record for the month of June. He will be impressed especially the North, where 38/40° will be reached during the weekend. In the central regions it will be a little less hot but it will be difficult to go below 34 degrees. The southern regions will also measure less hot values than the North, except in the Foggia area where 37/38° will be on the agenda.

If until 23/24 June the Judas anticyclone will therefore dominate the whole of Italy, it is from the 25th that this will begin to weaken starting from the northern regions, in fact a low Atlantic pressure will approach Italy, and maybe he will be able to destroy the anticyclonic mute. The milder Atlantic air will enter the Mediterranean basin where there is warm air, a favorable situation for the development of violent storms which from the North will lead to the Center and then part of the South, here especially in the Apennines. Thermal values that will begin to decrease thanks to the milder Atlantic air which will then undermine the humidity cap present, so also the heat will tend to decrease gradually.
