Weather: red dot heat in the Centre-South, rains in the North

Italy is still immersed in the African heat and red stamps are wasted in the major cities. Since Thursday, however, the weather forecasts by 3BMeteo speak of an oncoming change. The Afro-Mediterranean anticyclone will weaken along the northern front due to a perturbation that will bring significant weather changes to western European states.

Between the second part of Thursday and Friday, the tail of this perturbation will hit Northern Italy, bringing instability to the Alps and Pre-Alps with showers and thunderstorms, in some cases even of strong intensity, which will reach as far as the Po Valley. However, temperatures will drop, especially in the Alpine and pre-Alpine sectors.

The passage of the perturbation in the North will bring south-western currents to the Central South with a consequent increase in pressure, synonymous with more stable and sunny weather.

As for the weather forecast for the weekend, the perturbation will move towards the Balkans on Saturday, further renewing some phenomena in the North and at the same time favoring an increase in daytime instability on the central-southern ridge.

On Sunday, however, the weather will still be variable in the Alps and Pre-Alps, with some local phenomena. The situation will be much better in the rest of Italy, with the sun prevailing.

The fresh air associated with the disturbance, as mentioned, will bring a drop in temperatures in the North. In the Center and South, on the other hand, the heat will become even more intense, with peaks of up to 34-35 degrees, which could even be exceeded locally.
