Weather: the big cold arrives, first snowfalls in the South

Finally, as usual, the cold has arrived. The temperatures dropped and the first snow was seen in the mountains, which created some problems on the roads, especially in the South. This time, the wave of bad weather was soberly renamed: Attila. This is the nucleus of cold air arriving from Northern Europe.

In reality, the temperatures are below the seasonal average, but the inconveniences are not excessive at the moment. First snow between Marche, Abruzzo and Puglia up to the plains and along the coasts, white flakes also in Pescara: on the Adriatic coasts it has been ten years since snow fell in November.

The first snow has also arrived in the province of Foggia, on the Dauni Mountains and on the Gargano. Snow also in Potentino, where schools have remained closed today.

In Sardinia the situation is improving, lessons in schools are resuming, most of which have reopened their doors, but there are still problems due to bad weather: it has been closed and work is underway on a section of state road 293 in Medio Campidano , an area where there are also problems with the water system, because the cloudy and at times muddy water has sent the plant into a tailspin, which for days has not been able to cope with the purification of water to be introduced into urban pipes.
