The investment, estimated at around 5 billion euros, aims to strengthen the partnership between the two companies in the wearable technology sector and could lead to the presence of Meta in the governance of the group.

BFM Business, a French broadcaster that broke the news, said that the decision is currently under discussion to define governance aspects, such as the possible assignment of a seat on the board of directors of EssilorLuxottica to Meta.
