Merkel: stop talking about Eurobonds

We don't focus on debt mutualisation tools. That is to say: enough with Eurobonds, a "wrong solution from both a political and an economic point of view". This is the message launched by the German chancellor Angela Merkel in view of the EU Council to be held on 28 and 29 June. According to reports from the Dow Jones agency, the number one in the Bundestag reiterated today, during a conference in Berlin, the need for the countries of the Eurozone to focus on the structural reforms that the economies need.

The reflection of these statements on the stock lists is inevitable, with Milan which further accentuates the losses, coming to give up almost four points, black jersey of Europe.

In the meantime, however, there is also the announcement of an unexpected summit. To settle the most serious differences, The Chancellor will meet French President François Hollande in Paris on Wednesday evening. The two leaders had already met on May 15 in Berlin, a few hours after Hollande's inauguration at the Elysée.

Merkel "is going to Paris for an exchange of views and to try to define their positions", said the spokesman for the German government, Steffen Seibert, speaking of a "constructive meeting that will bear fruit for Europe".
