More bad news from the international car markets. New vehicle sales decreased 15,8% year on year in Japan in June. This was communicated by the Japanese dealers' association according to which, in total, 266.913 vehicles were sold last month. The decrease is part of the almost uninterrupted downward trend that has continued since September 2012, partly due to the closure of the system of public subsidies to the sector.
As for France, new car registrations fell by 9% in June. According to data released by the Committee of French car manufacturers (Ccfa), the PSA group saw a 14,3% decrease in sales in the first half-year, while the Renault group lost 8,1% on the sales front. In June alone, the PSA group lost 9,5%, while the Renault group lost 3,6%.
