Mental gymnastics exercise n.1
Here is the first mental gymnastics exercise. This time we will aim to develop and strengthen well three cognitive skills: language, ability to organize information and mental flexibility.
“These skills are especially important when we have to to make decisions that require organize a lot of information or to modify and adopt new mental patterns more functional in a given situation” explains the neuropsychologist Iannoccari. “It is also useful for train the "look“, that is, the ability to take without hesitation the word we need at the right time."
Ready for some mental gymnastics? Here are the rules
Delivery: Keep a stopwatch and a notepad (cataceous or digital). Dial the greater number of words using the letters present in the box (taken from the words “FIRSTONLINE” and “ASSOMENSANA”). They can be used just these letters and no new ones can be added. Every time a word is composed, the letters become available again for subsequent words.
Execution time: carry out the task in 2 minutes
Score: every letter used worth 1 point. Add up the number of letters that make up the words that are formed.
Traguardo: total at least 100 points in a 120 second session.
Strengthening: you can repeat the exercise at different times always using the same letters, but avoiding rewriting words that have already been written.
variants: change sets of at least 20 letters using other random words (example: “training mentally”, “playing joyfully”, etc.).
On the first test I scored 60 points...what should I think...since I should have scored 100...
Good morning Sonia, take the letters from those shown in the box and put them together to make a word.
Example: RED, SKIP, BADGE, etc.
You decide how many letters you want to use.
Let me know 😀
Good mind 🌷
I don't understand the exercise
Understanding words with all the letters... for example words with A with each letter or understanding random words with the letters taken in the box??
