Inattentions and distractions are the order of the day. How many times do we not find the cell phone that is right in front of our eyes? Or fail to notice a detail present in the environment? The brain tends to save energy and see only the essentials of what surrounds us, leaving aside most of the elements present in the place where we are. Sometimes, however, we need our be careful it is efficient and that he knows focus on specific details.

The scientific conference Longeva-mente on September 20th

This week we propose the exercise “Watch out for yellow” for the column The winning brain that develops and strengthens these mental skills: Selective attention, Concentration, processing speed, Mental flexibility in order to be quick and fast, avoiding being distracted by anything else.

Delivery: Identify as quickly as possible, in the environment you are in, the greatest number of objects of the colour 'yellow'.

Execution time: 45 seconds.

Score: 10 points for each item found.

Traguardo: Score at least 100 points in 45 seconds.

Strengthening: find 10 objects in 30 seconds.
