Menarini Pills of Art on the beauty of the Italian Renaissance

Menarini is not just a pharmaceutical company. From Florence, where she moved her official headquarters from the city of Naples in 1915, she let herself be inspired by her love for art. Precisely to tell and to discover the beauty of Italian Renaissance art, he promoted the project “Menarini Pills of Art”, which consists of a series of short videos dedicated to the major exponents of our local culture.

An initiative that confirms the artistic vocation of the company which, for more than 60 years, has published every year an unpublished monograph dedicated to the great masters of painting and sculpture such as Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, Caravaggio, Titian and Giotto.

With the new project, curiosities linked to the works of the greatest Italian artists can be found in the form of short videos contained within the new section of the Menarini website dedicated to the world of art. Like any self-respecting journey, we start from home and the first stage talks about the masterpieces of the Uffizi Galleries.

To make Italy's artistic heritage known and appreciated abroad, especially in the 136 countries where Menarini is present, the videos have been produced in both Italian and English. They will soon be translated into other languages including Chinese, Spanish, German and Russian.

“The tradition between Menarini and art has continued over time and is evolving today with Pills of Art. - he said Valeria Speroni Cardi, press & media relations director of the Menarini Group – Menarini's art volumes, which are distinguished by their simple language, invite the reader not to stop just to look at the images, but to discover curiosities and often unknown details. Even with the publication of video-capsules, the pharmaceutical group wants to involve above all those approaching the world of painting and sculpture for the first time, revealing the anecdotes that hide behind the great masterpieces of Italian art. In this mission of ours we are proud to have had as an exceptional guide the director of the Uffizi Museum, Eike Schmidt, who revealed to us, among other things, the technique used by Caravaggio to paint the Medusa”.

"The Coronation of the Virgin” by Fra Angelico, “The Annunciationby Leonardo da Vinci,Judith beheading Holofernes” by Artemisia Gentileschi, “Eleanor of Toledoby Bronzino,The birth of Venus"and "Spring” by Botticelli are just some of the video-captures that can be found in the new section of the Menarini website.
