Meloni-Schlein: first face to face
The question of the secretary of the PD was the one on the topic of minimum wage and parental leave. Since we care a lot about the question of the fallout on the subject of parental leave I am always ready to confront myself” was Meloni's response, however explaining di don't assume the minimum wage is the solution but rather how it is necessary “cut taxes on work”.
“Madam President, the his answers do not satisfy us” – it was there reply by Elly Schlein – “in the past the Democratic Party tried to approve the minimum wage. Now she's in government and I'm in opposition, it's not plus the time to hand over the responsibilities to others, but to give the answers. You voted yes to the European minimum wage directive. True, you have only been in office for five months but you are heading in the wrong direction. You are a right wing obsessed with immigration and you don't see the migrations of young people who are forced to seek fulfillment abroad due to low wages”. “Your action is defined in three words: inability, approximation and insensitivity. But your propaganda is fading and you will be judged for what you do and not for the easy promises you have been making for years” was the closing speech of the Pd secretary.
Meloni: for now No to the ratification of the Mes
The premier also spoke on the issue of Italy's non-adherence to the Mes. Meloni explained that the ratification “need for further study” and “as long as there is a government led by me Italy will never be able to access the Mes. And I'm afraid the others won't be able to join either.
According to the premier, a reflection is necessary: “The reform of the Mes has never been brought to ratification and this gives the measure of how this instrument needs further study. Tools are tools and are judged in relation to their effectiveness in a given context. The Government has received a mandate from Parliament not to ratify the reform in the absence of a clear regulatory framework".
In his speech also an opening to the proposal of the president of Confindustria “Bonomi, a historical supporter of the Mes, says that if we believe that the new Mes regulation is not in the interest of the country and is not adequate to the challenges, it should be time to discuss how to use it as one instrument of European industrial policy. The theme is that Europe will be able to face its challenges if it manages to create a system and project itself towards a common development policy, and Confindustria's proposal is being seriously considered by the government”.
Meloni: clear conscience on migrants
On the issue of migrants proposed by the secretary of +Europa Riccardo Magi, the premier reiterated that she has “the clear conscience, I hope that those who attack the government but do not spend a word against the smugglers' mafia can say the same". Instead, he attacked that "for political ends one ends up questioning the honor and the work of those who risk their lives every day to save others and one ends up slandering the whole of Italy, offering tools to those who want to charge all the burden us instead of taking responsibility.”
