Mediolanum-Fininvest, Berlusconi challenges Bank of Italy deed

The Bank of Italy had ordered the disposal of Fininvest's shareholding in Mediolanum which exceeds 9,9% – Today Cavalieri's lawyers challenged the deed.

Silvio Berlusconi's lawyers have initiated the notification, in Berlusconi's interest and to protect his position as a shareholder of Fininvest, "the appeal against the provision of the Bank of Italy of 7 October 2014 relating to Fininvest's shareholding in Mediolanum" . The lawyers communicate it today, professor Andrea Di Porto, Luigi Medugno and professor Andrea Saccucci, "as far as may be necessary for the purposes of compliance with the transparency obligations in force for companies listed on the Stock Exchange".

Following the proceeding relating to the registration of Mediolanum in the register of banking groups and after the loss of the honourability requirements of its indirect parent company Silvio Berlusconi, Banca d'Italia, in agreement with Ivass, with provision dated 7 October 2014 , had ordered the disposal of the investment in Mediolanum which exceeds 9,9%.

In mid-afternoon the Mediolanum title earns almost 1% a €5,24 per share.
