The Mediobanca shareholders' agreement "will become lighter". This was stated by Dieter Rampl, vice-president of Mediobanca, questioned by reporters at the entrance to the institute in Piazzetta Cuccia where the board of directors meets today. Will it be a pact only for consultation? "We are discussing it," replied the ex-president of Unicredit. Just as "the abolition of the three different groups of members (A, B and C) that make up the agreement is still the subject of discussion". As for a finalization of an agreement by the end of the summer, Rampl said he "hopes that is the case".
While the Board meeting is in progress, the Mediobanca share gains 14% shortly after 1,17 pm on Piazza Affari, where the value of the share has risen to 7,785 euro.
