Mediobanca, Bollorè sells its share after twenty years: think of France but also of Tim

Vincent Bollorè sells his stake in Mediobanca and says goodbye to the institute in Piazzetta Cuccia where his teacher Antoine Bernheim had introduced him, a strong man in European finance who, however, as "la Repubblica" has appropriately recalled, used to exploit him by saying: "Vincent, you will never understand anything about Italy".

Bollorè, the reckless and controversial financier, born 70 years ago in Brittany, sold 2% of Mediobanca, in which in the past he had held up to 7,9%, and in Italy remains concentrated on Tim, where he is still the first shareholder but where he has lost an avalanche of money so far. His Italian campaign proved disastrous, because he failed in the assault on Mediaset and never knew how to clearly exercise his role in Tim, thus ending up agreeing with Bernheim.

Bollorè remains the first shareholder of Tim and thinks of "Le Figaro"

The Breton financier, who controls Vivendi but who has formally left the most important positions in his empire to his sons, now thinks above all of France and is at the forefront of the battle against re-election of Emmanuel Macron to the presidency of the Republic. At the moment he is carefully watching the takeover bid for Lagardere by the Dassault family and has never denied his interest in the conservative newspaper Le Figaro ”. He will need it to forget the Italian disappointments, even if the game over Tim, who will have to decide on the KKR takeover bid tomorrow, still sees him as the protagonist.
