Mediaset – Vivendi: skip the mediation, go to court

On Monday 26 February, Mediaset's lawyers will appear before the Arbitration Chamber of Milan for an acknowledgment that the mediation with Vivendi has ended without any results. This was reported by Radiocor which cites sources close to the negotiation.

The negotiations between the Biscione company and the French giant led by Vincent Bollorè to reach an out-of-court settlement have therefore failed. The result is that already on February 27 the two parties will meet in Court. In fact, the civil hearing before the judge Vincenzo Perozziello, owner of the proceeding, is scheduled for next Tuesday.

We recall that Mediaset and Fininvest have filed a lawsuit against Vivendi due to failure to comply with the Mediaset Premium purchase contract and the takeover made by the transalpine group - which reached 30% of the company led by Pier Silvio Berlusconi - which according to the Biscione would have violated the shareholder agreements linked to the same Premium contract. In December, the same judge had given the parties another two months to continue the mediation attempt before starting the trial process.
