Mediaset: Vivendi admitted to vote in the meeting

This was decided by the Court of Milan - The French group will be able to bring its 9,98% rights to the shareholders' meeting for the merger in the Netherlands - At this point, the green light for the operation is far from certain

Mediaset: Vivendi admitted to vote in the meeting

The Court of Milan recognized Vivendi's right to participate in the Mediaset shareholders' meeting on 4 September. This is the meeting during which the reorganization will be defined with the creation of the Dutch holding Mfe, which will manage the combined Italian and Spanish activities.

At the last extraordinary meeting – that of April 18 in which the multiple vote for the Cologno group was decided – Vivendi was forbidden to vote by the Mediaset board.

The French group directly owns Alfa bonds for 9,98% of the voting rights. The 19,19% stake in Mediaset, equal to 19,94% of the voting rights, was moved from Vivendi to the Simon Fiduciaria trust as requested by Agcom for the simultaneous presence of the French in the Biscione and in Tim.

At the next meeting, Vivendi has already announced that it will vote against the proposed merger. Given that in Italy two-thirds of the capital present are needed to pass the resolution, the French group alone will not be able to be decisive with its 9,98%. But if Simon were to vote together with Vivendi, the merger operation would have very little chance of being approved
